For anyone familiar with Michelle Bauer, she would need no introduction. She is a very special person. Michelle is obviously beautiful, but she also is genuinely friendly and warm. She began her career as a model doing fetish modeling for bondage magazines. She primarily went by the name of Pia Snow when doing submissive photos. Later, she decided to try dominance and used Pia Sands. Her career really took off when she started doing films. By the time I met her, she was destined to leave modeling altogether and concentrate on her movie career.
Michelle then became known as one of the best in a very elite group know as the Scream Queens. The type of films she did were low budget horror films for directors such as Fred Olen Ray.
My claim to fame with Michelle was that I was the very last photographer to shoot bondage modeling photos of her before she retired completely from this genre and devoted herself to films.
To give you a short background: I had decided to shoot some fetish photos so I contacted a friend who was a modeling agent in Los Angeles, Hal Guthu. I had seen many photos of Michelle previously and she had always been a favorite, so I took a couple of examples of her photos with me to ask Hal if he knew anyone like Michelle I could work with. It turned out that Hal was her agent at the time, so I knew I could work with the best. Working with Michelle was a fantasy come true in and of itself.
Our shoot went exceptionally well. She was wonderful to work with and provided many ideas for making the photos better. During the shoot she told me of the decision she had just made to concentrate on films and that this would be her last shoot.
Michelle went on to a very lucrative career in those B horror movies before retiring to spend more time with her family. She still occasionally appears in films. I saw Michelle several years at a GlamourCon and she was just as beautiful as ever. As a photographer who has worked with hundreds of models over the years, I only wish that even a small fraction of them could have the same charisma as Michelle.
