The first modeling agency I worked with was the Drezden Modeling School and Agency in Spokane, Washington. I was in the Air Force, and had just started into professional photography. When I first contacted Drezden, their school only discussed photography, the models never actually spent time in front of a camera working with a photographer. I suggested adding a photo session to each class and that idea was eagerly accepted.

I came in and set up a mini-studio, took a series of photos for each model (while the others watched), then each model got a full set of the photos to keep as a start for their portfolios.

Another assignment I suggested was to actually go through the school with the models, so that I could get a better understanding of the process from their point of view. Along the way, I would also photograph the school process. The photos that came out of this were eventually used in numerous brochures for the agency.
