Joe Engle brought the only known copy of a prototype X-15 patch, made at the time of the program, to share with us at Spacefest. This was exciting, especially when you see that the silver background of the patch is made from the same material as the outer spacesuit garment worn by the X-15 pilots.

Note the similarity in basic shape and idea to the X-15 patch developed by Michelle at Mach 25, which is shown in the upper left of this image.
